LATE BHAKTA BIR SINGH TULADHAR
Our founding father and Chairman Emeritus, Late Mr. Bhakta Bir Singh Tuladhar of Nepal Liquors Pvt. Ltd. (NLPL), was a beloved father, husband, business person and activist. His vision and leadership led to him being involved in various sectors from tourism to manufacturing to social services. He also founded RCT, one of the most popular and successful team of Nepal’s A-Division football league.
Continuing his success and devotion for betterment of the food and beverage industry, he also founded Nepal Beverage and Food Products in Biratnagar in 2019. The company produces juices, jams, sauces, and several kinds of edible products under the brand name Kissan, a well-known company in India. He ventured into the alcoholic beverages industry with United Spirits Limited India, which paved the way for sales and distribution of Bagpiper Whisky, Golden Grape Brandy and other beverages.
Under his tutelage, McDowell’s Nepal Ltd. was established in 2004 AD. Under this banner, many and most recognizable alcoholic beverages are produced including industry-leading brands such as McDowell’s No. 1 Celebration, XXX Rum, Red Riband Vodka, Blue Riband Gin, and Signature Whisky. He further expanded the product line by introducing Antiquity Rare Whisky, Cariba Rum, and McDowell’s Platinum Whisky. With a broad portfolio, he was committed to meeting the customers' needs for every occasion.
Despite his short tenure, his vision and his dedication left a lasting impression in the industry.
